Federica, Italy

Lawyer
British-Congolese partner
Mother of an 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy

“Getting this job was a big milestone as I've always aspired to work for this office. Since we moved to Geneva, my husband put his career second. He doesn’t complain about this, but I feel he has gone through stages where he found it frustrating not being able to pursue his own career more systematically. Furthermore, he always faces the dilemma of either satisfying his professional ambitions or living with his family. I wouldn't do that, I wouldn't want to be away from my children for six weeks at a time. That's why, if there was one thing I could change, I’d make sure my husband could be professionally fulfilled and be with us at the same time.”
